Can I choose which course counts towards which requirement?
Students don’t have the ability to choose where a course will populate within an audit. Generally, a class will always fill in the highest-level category first. We also prioritize classes that are already completed (with grades) first, then registered classes, and finally planned classes last.
Rules (constraints) about which class can fill a category, grade requirements, and double counting are set by your school.
All that being said - your advisor may be able to prioritize classes differently for you, so it’s always a good idea to reach out to them if you are running into a problem!
How do I know that all my requirements are met and I am all set to graduate?
You can see how many classes you’ve taken or have left on the top bar in your profile.
You’ll want to see 0 remaining in unplanned to know that you have your audit requirements all in your plan.
You can also check under the ‘Audit’ tab (the ‘official’ option shows only classes officially taken or registered with the university) to see what classes are remaining.
If there is a red box next to any requirement, that will alert you that there are classes remaining to fill that category.
It’s also important to remember that you should always check in with your advisor. Stellic support cannot give you an official all-clear for graduation, so it’s best to have that from your advisor, who knows your program well and can warn you of any pitfalls.
How do I add or remove programs?
To add a program, navigate to the top of your profile in the Progress or Profile tab. Click the (+) in the top right corner to get the programs search box. You can search for other programs here, and add once you’ve found the correct one.
To remove a program, click the (x) next to each program name at the top of your profile. Notice that there will also be a tag for ‘not declared’ until you’ve officially declared a new program with the university. If you remove a declared program, the program name will still appear, but with a tag that says, ‘not in plan’.
You can add the program again by clicking the link for ‘add to plan’.
How do I get courses to double-count?
Double counting rules are set for each degree program by your school. You can always reach out to your advisor if you think there’s an issue with a class double counting or not, but this isn’t something that Stellic support can change or update.
My advisor/instructor has told me this class should count, why isn't it?
Stellic gets information for degree plans and audits from your school. Stellic staff cannot manually change course information, or audits. However, you should absolutely reach out to your advisor or instructor if something doesn’t seem right.
How do I add another advisor or share my plan with a mentor?
To add or remove an advisor (or give access to your degree plan to a mentor), navigate to Settings > Sharing Plan. You can add or remove an advisor here, and choose what kind of access that have on your plan.
