Adding Activities to Your Plan
Updated over a week ago

You can add more than just courses to both your degree plan or your term schedule. These can serve as helpful placeholders for your various commitments outside of class.

Adding activities to your degree plan

You can add any type of non-course activity to your degree plan in a number of ways.

Option 1: From either the Plan your Path tab on the left navigation menu or the Planner option located within the Track Progress tab, click the "+ Add to Term" button at the bottom of the term where you would like to add an activity. Select the "Activity" option, then add the name of the activity and select the activity type.

Option 2: From the Plan your Path tab on the left navigation menu you can access your Tentative List. There is a section of this list where you can save activities that you know that you want to add to your degree plan. You can drag saved activities to and from your degree planner and tentative list.

Adding an activity to your term schedule

In addition to activity placeholders in your overall degree plan, you can add an activity to your term schedule. To access your term schedule, you can select the active term from the left hand sidebar, or click on the calendar icon from your planner view.

If you added an activity to this term from your planner view, you will see it appearing in the sidebar on the right. If not, this will appear blank. To add a new activity, click on "+ Add Activity" button in the right sidebar. You can input the name, type, and time of the activity, which will then appear in your schedule. You can also add day/time details to any activities that you placed in this term from the planner.

You can input multiple days/times for each activity, and add multiple activities to your schedule.

This can be particularly powerful in schedule planning for future terms if you know of non-class commitments prior to creating your schedule, as you can add the activity as a reminder to yourself and then search the time blocks surrounding it.
