You can view progress toward your graduation requirements by clicking on the "Track Progress" option within Stellic. If you scroll beneath your profile information, the default view of this page shows the Progress tab. Your graduation requirements are listed in the form of a program audit, which is made up of requirements and constraints. You may have multiple audits depending on the number of programs you have or types of requirements for your institution.

Requirements are the building blocks of the audit. Our system will use these to evaluate courses or other non-course requirements (such as exams, volunteer hours, thesis proposals, etc.) towards a degree.

Within Stellic, the rules at the very top of the audit apply to all of the requirements listed underneath. In this example below, every course taken for the Mechanical Engineering PhD must be at least one credit per course. Beneath that, requirements can have their own sets of rules, called "constraints", that apply to everything within that particular requirement. For instance, below, the "General Electives" state that you must fulfill all of the requirements, meaning every requirement listed under General Electives (in this case, 200 Level Course and General Electives) must be taken.

Constraints are the rules that determine how to fulfill a requirement, like “Take all of the following courses”. Each requirement must have at least one constraint, so that the system can tell how to fulfill the requirement.

A course must meet all constraints in order to count for a requirement. If a requirement has the two constraints: “Take 1 course from CS Department” and “Minimum Grade of C or above”, a course will only fulfill the requirement if it is offered by CS department and you have achieved a C or above.
