Students Requesting an Exception
Updated over 8 months ago

To request an exception for one of your graduation requirements (if allowed by your school), first navigate to the Track Progress tab in Stellic. You'll see all your program(s) requirements. Requirements with a red number (instead of a yellow or green check mark) are not satisfied.

If the requirement should be satisfied by a course you have already taken, click the three dots next to the requirement name and select ‘Request An Exception’.

Depending on how your institution has set-up this functionality, you may need to select the appropriate form from the drop-down and will also see an option to select the type of exception you want to submit (depending on the type of requirement).

You may be asked to search and enter the course (or courses) that should fill the requirement. Please note that you’ll only be able to select courses that are already showing in your plan. Course with failed or incomplete grades will not be able to satisfy requirements.

In the 'justification' field, enter details about why you believe this course should satisfy the requirement. Then click 'submit' and your request for an exception will be routed to the appropriate individual at your institution. You will receive a notification in Stellic letting you know if the exception has been approved. Depending on your notification Settings, you may also receive an email.
