Student Analytics
Updated over 10 months ago

Our Analytics tab pulls all the rich data we import from partners, and the data we can collect from Stellic usage, to give faculty and administrators great insight into many areas of academic life. You can find out what classes are normally taken in the same semester, which requirements in an audit have the most exceptions, and when the largest number of students will have a free period (great for scheduling office hours or student events).

You can further narrow any analytics results by using the filters provided under ‘Filters’.

Student Analytics

For Student Analytics, if a user only has access to a certain student set they will only see data from those students.

  • Schedule distribution - a heat map showing the number of students taking classes for each time slot over the week.

  • Student distribution - distribution of active students by class level

  • Popular programs - the most popular programs, sorted by how many students have the program in their plan

  • Popular schools - the most popular schools, sorted by how many students fall into the school

  • GPA distribution - the distribution of the cumulative GPA. Note that the GPA will not calculate when filtered for a range of semesters.

  • Semester course load distribution - distribution of the number of courses taken each semester, for past and current semesters. If you’d like to include current semesters, filter by semester range.
