Adding a concentration

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If your chosen program has a concentration (or specialization/track) you can add or remove these to your plan in Stellic.

It's important to remember that changes made in the Stellic platform will not update your official status with your institution. To officially declare a concentration, go through your normal school's channels. Those changes will populate to Stellic automatically. To locate your advisor’s contact information in Stellic, follow these steps:

  1. Select Track Progress from the left-hand navigation.

  2. Find the "Advisor" section.

  3. Click the @ icon next to your advisor’s name to copy their email address. You can then get in touch with them to request any official changes to your concentration.

In your Track Progress view, you'll be able to see which concentrations (if any) are already selected for your plan by the 'Declared' tag on the Concentration name. Any Concentrations that are not in your plan will have a tag that says "Not in Plan". You can also use the Track Progress view to locate your advisor’s contact details for concentration-related inquiries if you need to make official changes through your institution.

To add a concentration within Stellic, first click on the arrow next to requirement that houses all of the concentrations in order to expand that category and see all the possible concentrations. Additional concentration options will fill in underneath your current concentration, if one is already selected, so you may need to scroll down for the full list.

Then you can click the three dots next to your chosen concentration and click 'Add Concentration'.
